Pool Pump Pressure High Sand Filter

What else is causing the high pressure.
Pool pump pressure high sand filter. I do not accurately remember last years reading but this seems much higher and there is a marker ring on pressure gauge that says clean after 10 psi differential. High pressure usually indicates a dirty pool filter time to backwash or pull out the filter cartridge for cleaning. Algae or clearing coagulation additive can rise pressure but clean pressure without filter at 20 is too high period. When it s outside this range very low or very high then you know that something s wrong.
Pump pressure is. Pool filters and most pool equipment is designed to operate normally up to 30 psi. The pool filter pressure should be steady operating in a range of 10 psi. Low pressure will almost always be caused by a problem at or before the pump.
Be careful with high filter pressure as filter tanks can rupture with deadly force. I believe when i first saw the gauge on the sand filter three months ago it sat about 70kpa 10psi for some reason now it is about 100kpa photo below shows 110kpa as i added some de to the skimmer i have replaced the gauge with a new one. Have an expert to look at the whole system. 35 psi pressure is useless.
Opened up filter and sand looks perfect no lumps or clumping together. Also most pool equipment has a maximum pressure rating of 50 psi and the area between 30 and 50 is your safety margin as a pool owner. We have a 16x 32 inground salt pool with a hayward s220tc sand filter. Too large pump too small return fittings not enough return outlets or clogged up etc.
Hayward pump sp3202vsp pump going into our 3 year. A typical pressure gauge is round with an indicator needle and a maximum reading of 60 psi. I have some high sand filter pressure issues. Cycle is too long and the pump motor is working a lot harder.
But here it s after the pump not before. I ve recently moved to this house which has a pool. Some gauges allow you to set the clean and dirty range or you can write it on the filter tank with a marker. Backwashing rinse cycle makes little difference.
A pool filter pressure gauge is the gadget that reads the amount of pressure building up inside your filter. Tagelus ta 60d sand filter 6 port valve 5 years old low load 2 people on off pressure differential 18 psi. With a clean filter the output of the pump should range between 8 and 25 pounds per square inch on the filter gauge depending on variables in pump output and pool plumbing size. Running it on recirc it read 7.
Dangerous filter pressure if you do not have a functioning pressure gauge on your filter then you would have no idea if the pressure of the filter was dangerously high. When the filter pressure is higher than normal this also indicates a flow problem.
