Pedestal Sink Floor Drain

Has anyone just run the drain pipe into floor.

Pedestal sink floor drain. Set the sink bowl on the pedestal and lay a 2 ft. The plumbing fits inside the pedestal which is secured to the floor. When the sink is clogged you don t need to remove the sink from the wall to unclog the line you only have to disconnect the flex p trap from the wall. With a 200 yr old there are always surprises.

Pedestal sinks come in two pieces the stand pedestal and the sink itself. Remove the bowl and pedestal and set them aside. Align the center of the pedestal with this mark. Fine tune the pedestal placement and level the basin side to side. Sit on the floor with the sketch in hand and visualize how the back of the pedestal sink will match up with the supply lines. Set the pedestal on the floor so it lines up with the pvc waste pipe and its center is about the same distance from the wall as the center of the basin s drain see step 2.

Place the basin on the pedestal and against the wall. Distance from the floor or wall to where the drain enters the wall or floor distance between the floor and the water supply pipes. Distance right to left from each water supply pipe to the drain. Place small self adhesive foam or rubber cushions between the bowl and pedestal to level the bowl.

The sink is mounted to the wall and also rests on the pedestal stand. Mark the center of the mounting holes on the wall and floor.
